PhD scholarship at Australian National University in the Medicinal Chemistry and Bioconjugation Lab

PhD scholarship available at the Australian National University in the medicinal chemistry and bioconjugation laboratory of Christoph Nitsche.

The project will evaluate target proteins from emerging viruses, study their interactions with small molecules and develop new drug candidates.

Applicants should possess a B.Sc. with Honours, M.Sc., or equivalent, majoring in a relevant discipline (e.g. biochemistry, medicinal chemistry, biotechnology, molecular or structural biology), show strong academic performance (e.g. publications, patents or awards) and have excellent communication skills. Hands-on experience with techniques, such as cloning, protein expression, biochemical assays or organic synthesis will be considered favourable.
