Dr. Jirka Peschek completed his PhD with Johannes Buchner at TU Munich, followed by a postdoctoral stay with Peter Walter at UC San Francisco, USA. In 2021, he started his independent lab at Heidelberg University with support from the Emmy Noether Programme. His scientific path has led him from protein chaperones and cellular stress responses to RNA processing, the current focus of his group. In an extended Q&A session after the talk she will be happy to answer all of your questions.
