Initiated in honor of Prof. Dr. Roland Schauer (1936-2019; from 1976-2001 Director of the Biochem. Institute of the Christian-Albrechts-Universität Kiel, founder of the GBM Study Group "Glycobiology").
Awarded by the GBM every year as honorary lecture during the conferences of the GBM Study Group "Glycobiology".
