Study Group RNA Biochemistry

The RNA-BIOCHEMISTRY study group was founded at the fall meeting of the GBM in September 2001. The study group sees itself as a forum where different disciplines of the life sciences ranging from biophysics, molecular biology, cell biology, structural biology, bioinformatics, synthetic biology and chemical biology meet to exchange information and to cooperate.

For this purpose, the study group meeting "RNA Biochemistry" has been held every two years since 2002. At this English-speaking conference, in addition to established speakers from Germany and abroad, many young investigators also present their latest results. Several talks are traditionally also given to PhD students. The conference further includes a workshop highlighting a current topic in RNA research. Previous workshops covered for example RNA & disease, single-molecule techniques, RNA traffic and RNA modification.
