Young Scientists Awards at GBM Fall Meeting

During the GBM fall meeting "Molecular Basis of Life", several young investigator awards will be presented to PhD students, postdocs and young investigators.

PicoQuant Young Investigator Award

The 2022 GBM Fall Conference in Düsseldorf will host a Young Investigator Award competition. The GBM and PicoQuantTM offer this prize to honor a Young Investigator with outstanding achievements in the research related to the broad topic “Molecular Basis of Life”. The awardee will be invited to present his/her latest results at our fall conference. The lecture and the award ceremony will take place in the frame of the dedicated Conference Award session on Thursday, 15. September 2022. The awardee will receive a certificate together with a prize money of 1000 € donated by our sponsor PicoQuantTM.

To apply, you must be member of GBM (https://gbm-online.de/mitglied.html) and the GBM Young Investigator Group (https://gbm-online.de/young-investigators.html).To be eligible for the award, you must have senior postdoctoral or non-tenured junior group leader status. You should nominate yourself and submit the following documents:

(1) curriculum vitae,
(2) two-page summary of your research achievements highlighting in maximum the five most important publications,
(3) list of publications,
(4) names and contact details of up to three persons who support your application and could be contacted by us,
(5) abstract for a lecture (according to the submission rules for the conference). Abstract Deadline is June 14!

The application deadline is 29 June 2022

Nikon PostDoc Award

The 2022 GBM Fall Conference in Düsseldorf will host a PostDoc Award competition. The GBM and NikonTM offer this prize to honor a young researcher with outstanding achievements in the research related to the broad topic “Molecular Basis of Life”. The awardee will be invited to present his/her latest results at our fall conference. The lecture and the award ceremony will take place in the frame of the dedicated Conference Award session on Thursday, 15. September 2022. The awardee will receive a certificate together with a prize money of 750 € donated by our sponsor NikonTM.

To apply, you must be member of the GBM (https://gbm-online.de/mitglied.html). To be eligible for the award, your doctorate must have been awarded no more than 4 years ago. You should nominate yourself and submit the following documents:

(1) curriculum vitae,
(2) two-page summary of your research achievements highlighting in maximum the five most important publications,
(3) list of publications,
(4) copy of your doctorate certificate,
(5) names and contact details of up to three persons who support your application and could be contacted by us,
(6) abstract for a lecture (according to the submission rules for the conference). Abstract Deadline is June 14!

The application deadline is 29. June 2022.

Biomol PhD Award

The 2022 GBM Fall Conference in Düsseldorf will host a PhD Award competition. The GBM and BiomolTM offer this prize to honor a young researcher with outstanding achievements in the research related to the broad topic “Molecular Basis of Life”. The awardee will be invited to present his/her latest results at our fall conference. The lecture and the award ceremony will take place in the frame of the dedicated Conference Award session on Thursday, 15. September 2022. The awardee will receive a certificate together with a prize money of 500 € donated by our sponsor BiomolTM.

To be eligible for the award, you must be still working on your PhD project. You should nominate yourself and submit the following documents:

(1) curriculum vitae,
(2) two-page summary of your research achievements highlighting in maximum the five most important publications,
(3) list of publications,
(4) certificate of enrollment for the PhD program at your university,
(5) names and contact details of up to three persons who support your application and could be contacted by us,
(6) abstract for a lecture (according to the submission rules for the conference). Abstract Deadline is June 14!

The application deadline is 29. June 2022.
